The New iPod Touch

The new ipod touch seems to be a big hit! Almost everybody I know has one and they say it is awesome. This fourth generation ipod touch is equipped with a camera and a microphone. Why the change? There is an app called Skype where you call people from your ipod but you need a microphone. I think that is why apple equipped the ipod with a camera. Apple was probably thinking that parents would buy the ipod so they wouldn’t have to buy a phone for their children. Why do you think Apple equipped the ipod with a microphone?

Nice Post! I think Apple equipped the ipod with a microphone because parents want to get kids a ipod touch because kids play games in their phone and are draining the battery. So I think Apple thought that if you want to record something you can do that so it is like every handy device in one object. For a recorder you don't need to buy it separatly.
So that it will be a hit, to make more money. There are many possibilities about why but those are my reasons.
My dad a few days ago bought one of the new iPod for my brother. The iPod is so much thinner than the iPhone and when I put it on a black surface, it camouflages really well. I think they added the microphone to the iPod because iPod doesn't have phone to communicate. They have a camera in the front and back like iPhone4.
I think they equipted the microphone because people can hear the music on it better.

I think they equpped it with a microphone ,because then you can talk to people instead of just texting or listening to music. It is much more fun to talk with your own voice and the other person can hear you and see you.
I think they may have equipped the microphone to the ipod because then you can talk on the phone without it touching your ear. This is important because if you are driving you can just talk without driving dangerously
with one hand.
I think the same as you. Apple probably put a camera and a microphone so that we won't have to get phones. Also, they probably put the camera and microphone because then it would be like a iPhone.
I think they put it for skype and put for other apps and games because some games need a microphone to play but not most of them. I think they put it for skype because you can communicate with your friends and you can also chat. Sometimes you might feel like you want to chat with your friends face to face you NEED a microphone so that they can hear you and you need a camera so that they can see you. This is why I think Apple included a microphone.

I think apple added the microphone because they want people to buy it for just the microphone. They think it is a cool extra thing just to add on so it would make it a hit just like Audrey said.
Great post!I think Apple equiped the ipod with a microphone so they could hear music louder and when they play all types of games they could hear properly.They too maybe to make more money.I think you can talk with others like a phone with the microphone.Maybe if your phone fell down on the brakes you cant see were you are going their could be a accident of course.So if you are with the microphone you dont hold it you wear it on your two ears.This Ipod is really good.I wish I had a Ipod that would be good.I would always play it when I'am done with all my homework,it would be the best time of my life!
I think that they put a microphone is because you can use applications like soundhound, an app where you can sing, hum, or whistle a tune of a song and it will tell you what it is called. This makes since because after all it is an ipod and you can recognize song you want to buy.

But they also might have included it as a kind of attracting device, so that it'll attract kids and they'll beg their parents to buy it for them, and things like that. Also, they are probably doing it for business; so that people will think that now it's practically a phone, you can hear music, oh let's buy it!
I think they equiped the new I-Pod with a microphone because then they could make podcasts and they could be good for using the apps like Talking Tomcat. It will also be good for Voice Memos and Voice Control.
