Lights, Camera, Action!

Vacation To Mars
Our play practice will be starting up right when we get back from April break with auditions. You must have your dialogue memorized and be able to sing along with the music. In order for you to practice over the break, I've included the music to the song in this post. Sign-ups for auditions will be the week we get back. I want to encourage EVERYONE to sign up. Our play is going to be fabulous!!!
Are you nervous or excited? Tell me why! What part of the play did you like the most? Funniest part? What part would you like to have?

The Solar System music really helped!! I am so excited to be in this play! As you know, this is my last year in Portal and I really want to shine this year! I think the funniest part was Venus and Jupiter. I would love to have one of the main parts like the mechanics or someting like that

Thanks for posting the music Ms. Mcpheeters now we can listen to the music and sing. I really want to be a guide. What sucks is that my audition is during P.E. so I have to miss the begining of P.E.. I really can't wait to know the parts. Now my sister knows the song too because she helped me practice.

I'm nervous and excited! I can't tell which one I feel most:
Nervous or Excited.
I loved the part of Earth. I agree with Shivani on the funniest part. I think the funniest parts re Jupiter and Venus. No boy would want to be Jupiter. Which boy would like 16 girls around him staring at him adoringly and call them darlings and starlings? In the play we watched in class the teachers chose a really good person to act as Jupiter. I don't think much girls want to be Venus. Some, but not much. I really, really, really, really (the reallys could go on forever) want to be Earth in our play, but if I don't get it I won't like moan and whine about it. I can't wait until we start our first rehearsals! I bet we are going to surprise everyone and make our play the best in the whole school year!!!

I am excited because I have been watching this play be put on by other classrooms twice - once in kindergarten, once in 3rd grade. Those times I wished to be in the village that would put on this play when I was a Rockhopper. Now that I am in this village, I am really excited. My favorite part
is when the guide says,"Don't worry. There's only a slight extra charge for seeing the moon," after the moons leave. He was the one who brought them there, why should they pay him? I don't know what the funniest part is. I guess it was funny when the people from Neptune said,"Don't use the something company," and everyone was staring at the guides because they came from that company. I would like to have a part that wasn't very big, like Mercury, because I don't want a main part. All the same, I don't want to be the chorus. I do not want to be Venus or one of Jupiter's moons.(I don't think anyone wants those parts.) I think our play will be the really good! One last question,
when is the play going to be? I know it's in June, but what day? I can tell, May is going to be a busy month!

Ms.Mcpheeters thanks for posting the fascinating video. It helped me sing with the beat much better. The two main characters I would like to be are the main guide or the boy (Josh). My least favorite characters are Venus’ security guards and Jupiter. But hey, someone has to do it! Hopefully not me! I think the funniest part was like Nidhi wrote the part when the people from Neptune told the family not to use a specific company and that was the exact company they were using. Nervous is the word that perfectly matched me before the auditions! But once I stared saying my lines, I totally forgot my nervousness and the fact it was an audition. I thought I was on the stage. But I wouldn’t get my hopes high because there are a lot of students auditioning and I’m sure they all did well. Good luck to all!

I am a little excited because it is my first rockhopper performance and I'm not sure if it's like a 2-3 performance. My favorite part was when the chorus echoes "meteors!"
I would like to be in the chorus like every year.

Thanks for posting the music so we can practice our singing Ms.McPheeters. I would like to be a tour, or a mechanic. I don't really care what part I get really.

The music helped me with my audition. Sorry my voice was a little scratchy. I had mucus in my throat. My favorite part was the Neptune song. I think it was funny and it sounded nice.

I would want the part as the Earth one of the mechanics, or a guide. Even though I won't be there to see the play, I KNOW it will make everyone want to see it over and over again.I agree with Meryem, you all ARE going to surprise everyone and make our play the best in the whole school year!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
