Rujuta's Post

The Picchetti Winery
By: Rujuta Munshi
Over the spring break, I did many fun things. I went to P.E.P. for the first week and I stayed home the second week. I had sleepovers with my friends and lots of other fun, but my most favorite thing was going on a hike to Picchetti Winery with my friends. At the winery, we saw a peacock with all its feathers spread out. We also saw another one ¬near the shed. When we started the trail and got to the lake, we saw newts, salamanders, and tadpoles. Some people were catching the tadpoles to observe and then letting then go. My friend and I helped catch the tadpoles with our hands. When our parents told us we had to move on, we let the tadpoles free and went to the next trail, which took us up a hill that was very steep. We slipped many times but we finally made it. When we finished the hike we went back to where the peacocks were and when one of them saw us again it started making sounds and unfolded its feathers and then we had to go back home. What did you do over the spring break? Was it exciting or not?

Hey Rujuta, great post! I didn't really do much over the break. I did go to the beach in Monterey and found many different types of shells.I also went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and we saw the new exhibit called The Splash zone. I did not want to go near the place where they had sharks because i have had a long time fear of them. But then finally my friend told me i would be okay because they were in a tank.

Like Kaelyn said, great post Rujuta! I had a fun, exciting and crazy break. For both weeks I went to the East Cost to visit my family. We left ear;y Saturday morning. That flit took us to Colorado. Our next flit about 40 minutes later took us to New York. From there we drove to Connecticut. In Connecticut we visited 2 of my cousins. There names are Erika and Alisa. About 4 days later we dove down to Pennsylvania. There we saw 1 of my cousins named Lim. He is about one almost 2. From there we drove to Washington D.C.. There we saw my mom's mom and dad, and my cousin Douglas. We stayed there for about 2 days than we returned our car and flew to Georgia. Then to North Carolina. There we saw 6 of our cousins. Finn(I am only 3 hours older than him) Maggie,Abby,Elliot, Peter, and my last cousin Jono. We stayed in North Carolina for a week and a day. (some REALLY cool thing about my uncles house, 1 he has a swimming pool in his house and he just moved to North Carolina, 2 he has a wii, 3 he has guitar hero III, and the coolest thing of all is that he has an elevator in his house! It's wooden thought.) then we flew to Atlanta, Texas, Utah, then we finally reached Home. 9:00 Saturday night west cost time 12:00 east cost time. Well I went through 13 states this break and now you can tell what a crazy break I had.

I had a very wonderful spring break this year! It was very exciting and surprising. For starters, I now take an oil painting class on Sunday, which was great and fun. I even finished this beautiful painting of trees. My art teacher,Kee, said I have this talent inside me to create more advanced paintings. That made me feel proud inside. My friend Alina, also came to my house to play tennis with me. I used to be horrible at tennis, but I improved a little. Last, my family visited the San Francisco Zoo to admire the animals. There were also cute, adorable rabbits in the children's petting zoo. But they were not as cute as Sugar, my rabbit! I also got a chance to see a zoo wooker feed some penguins fish!

My break was boring except for the part when I went to WASHINGTON D.C! It was super fun. I got many pictures (over a 1,000.) Though 1 thing I didn't like was on ALL the flights we had I was sitting next to Mrs. Skourkis. It's not that I hate her but I could at least sit next to someone who I can chat with. Other than that the trip was great. We saw many memorials including the Lincoln memorial, the U.S airforce memorial, and more! We also saw real guns and cannons fire, ships, and interesting people (Including a silversmith. That's what I am for the social studies project.) Our tour guide, Ralph, had a birthday during our trip!
Overall, the trip was fantastic!

Over the spring break, I went to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. It was awsome. At first it was ok but later on it became better. One of my fravorite rides was the one called "Tsunami". The ride went really fast and when it stopped, it started to go backwards! Even though it went backwards, it dinn't go to fast. We stayed at the Boardwalk for about 5 hours because we went at 11:00 o'clock. Over all, the break was fantastic.
