It seems as though it has been raining nonstop today!! I've heard people say, "It's about time. We needed some rain." I've also heard others react differently to the wet stuff; "When is it going to stop? Enough already!" How can rain be both a bad thing and a good thing? Doesn't it have to be one or the other? How do you feel about all of this rain we have been having?

I think it's great to have some rin once and a while, but not all the time. It hasn't rained for 2 to 4 days so I think it's okay. I love the rain though.
I normally like rain but today with the wind and all I didn't like it. My socks and the bottom of my pant got soaked. My umbrella also flipped inside out twice in less than seven hours! I guess it depends on the person's point of view whether it is good or bad. People who like to ski might like it(because there is tons of snow in Lake Tahoe). But then also maybe they might not be able to ski because the roads might be blocked. I 'm not an ice sport person. I like summer sports like basketball or soccer.
Just like Meryem I agree that it is great to see some rain fall, although it certainly does make travelling to and from school a challenge. At least the rain gave us the opportunity to make each other laugh during PE inside the classroom. Thanks Ms. McPheeters for sharing your planning time space with us this afternoon.
Isn't hasn't rained this much since last year. I remember last year when it was pouring and I was in cdc, there was a leak and we put like cups, buckets, and pans all over the place
This is so weird! First there was practically no rain and now there is tons! I just came back from basketball practice, and the rain is showing no signs of stopping. It's a wonder that our power didn't go out. I hope that tomorrow we have a little less rain than today. The dirt part past the fence in our school is flooded! There is literally water everywhere!
I agree with Meryem too. There should be some rain because there have been a lot of droughts lately. But no one likes gloomy weather. Personally I like sunny days because to me they are like happy days.
I think kedar is right. It depends on persons point of veiw.
I saw on my HD tv that in some places it's like flooding. The weather forecast is giving a flash flood warning. We only got one inch of rain while some other places have six inches. At least I think I was right. Just watch out for the rain because it's pretty big these rescent days.
Remember that big storm we had earlier this month? Our fence got tilted to one side, but it was not fully because of the wind. Mostly because we have bamboos behind our fence and they sway to the wind. Well anyways after the storm we had last night the whlole fence fell over! now there is a huge hole in our fence. We removed the pieces just to be safe (wearing gloves of course). We wore gloves because it was a splintery fence.
When we were watching T.V. on Friday a sign flashed on the top of the screen that said there was flooding somewhere just like Kevin's T.V. did. It's still raining right now. I hope that the rain stops by the afternoon so I can play outside.
I think that the rain is both a good thing and a bad thing. You might not believe it, but the bay area is having a drought. Not a really big one, but our resevoirs are not filled up. So the rains that we are having are helping end the drought, but also since the rain is comming all at once, there are possibilities of flash floods which is the bad part of the rain.

Sometimes, it rains a lot in the winter. When people don't like the rain, they think that they should stop going out to dinner, playing soccer and sports, and exercise! People can go to a workout gm or something like that! Last winter, my friend gained 13 pounds just sitting around in the house!
I kind of agree with Vibhu's sister. I think the southeast was having a drought and that they desperately needed rain. This is like a miracle to them. I can't believe that Olivia's friend gained 13 pounds just sitting! Because it rains so much wherever you go in school there is always going to be a puddle close bye. I hope the rain stops soon.
I think that all the wacky weather that we have been having lately is due to Global Warming. Global Warming can have effects on every thing.
A few months ago there was a dry lake in Santa Cruz my mom said that it wouldn't fill up unless there was a big rainstorm. I've been wanting it to rain and I guess my wish came true. I haven't checked on it ever since I saw it I wonder if the lake is filled up right now.
I think rainfall is good because it helps the plants grow. Rain also supplies us with drinking water! We definitely need that!
I agree with Kedar. I ussually like rain because we have indoor lunch but a few days ago, we had to have our PEN meeting with the kindergarteners was a little bit disturbing... Well I don't mind a little bit of rain but this much is not exactly my favorite type of weather.
I feel great that it has rained a lot because we haven't had barely any rain in December. Sometimes it annoys me when it's pouring like mad in the middle of the night. I barely get any sleep(I'm a VERY light sleeper). The times I want it to rain is when it's lunch and recess time.
I think it is great to have rain. We haven't had this big of a storm for quite a while. It also waters our plants. In a way, it is bad for me. I was lunch monitor and on the first day, Justin and I wiped the tables and then it started pouring. It ended up being a rainy day recess and so we wiped the tables for nothing. Lets hope that this doesn't happen again.
Rain is actually my second favorite type of weather even though it might make you wet. I also agree with Meryem. I think it rains the most in the winter so having a lot of rain is normal.
I kind of feel great that it rained a lot because we barely had any rain in the winter, but sometimes its kind of annoying that it keeps on raining for days and days.

I think rain is good and bad.A reason why I think rain is good is because it waters a lot of plants. One reason I think water is bad is just because it changes your mood so much! Like when it's raining you feel so droopy and sort of disappointed and sort of sad for no reason! I don't like that type of mood! So these some reasons why I like rain and I don't like rain.
Raining is good to have once in a while because there is a point where plants will need lots of water. They will need sunlight and CO2 but water is a good thing to have too. Personally, I do not like rain because I always get really cold. I would hate it like nonstop raining because I'd be freezing the whole day! Anyways, I was staying inside most of the time then. I ALWAYS stay inside on those type of days. The plants really like it though. I'm all like "AHHHHH! Raining so hard like this is like coming right out of the shower!" But for the plants they're like " Oooh! Soothing! Wahoo!" Well, anyways, raining like this is kind of good once in a while.
I don't like all this rain.It leaves the ground all wet.I do like some drizzels once in a while.But this rain recently has been downpours, not drizzles.There has been very little to do these days indoors.I'll be glad when it's over.
I normally don't like rain because I cannot go outside and play sports and i have to stay inside inside but I can also play board games with me brother.
I normally don't like the rain because I can't go outside to play basketball, wall ball, and go outside to exercise. But I also get to stay inside to play board games and watch and play a little bit of computer with my little and older brothers. So i guess the rain is for me.
I think it is good and bad to have rain. It's good because without it all of the plants will die and that will be the end of the human race because the air wont have any oxygen for us to breath. It is also a a bad thing because it can cause floods in certain areas.
This past rainstorm has brought a lot of water, maybe too much. At first it seemed like fun staying indoors and watching movies. After being cooped up all weekend it got pretty annoying. Rain is good because it filled up our creeks and rivers. We've needed that for a long time because we've had a drought. I hope it doesn't rain for at least a week.
