Room 19 Ready To Blog!

Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable and restful holiday break! I spent the majority of my time in El Paso, TX visiting with family and friends only to come back to a record-setting storm in the Bay Area. They are expecting up to 10 feet of snow over the weekend! This makes me want to grab my board and go except the conditions are extremely dangerous on the roads, so I am going to wait it out for now. If the winds decrease on the ridges (100+ mph!) I might try to make a day trip on Saturday or Sunday. All I can say is it is about time CA got some good snow!!!

How was your winter break? What did you do? Describe one exciting detail from your adventures!

I can't wait to start using our class blog! We are going to start blogging as an entire school this trimester with united goals and expectations. Our format and purpose for blogging may look a little different than what you were used to. These changes were decided in order to make it more manageable for teachers yet still creating an enriching and enjoyable experience for students. It will take a while for us to work out the "kinks" so please be patient. Happy blogging!!

Hi everyone!

My winter break was fun. My Grandparents,Uncle and Aunt visited my family and I. We had fun in the snow at Lake Tahoe.

One day, my dad and I went skiing and we were going on a very steep hill and before we knew it,there was a gust of snow blowing in our direction. To make it worse I wanted to have "fun". I started letting myself feel light so I would go faster. A HUGE and STRONG wind came by and I started going off balance. Luckily, it was the end of the hill and the wind had passed. But when I looked for my father I couldn't find him!

It turned out that it wasn't the snow that had made it hard to see.. it was my goggles which were PURE(well not exactly)white because of the snow.

Over the weekend I played outside with my friends, played computer, and I also played NBA Live 2005 on the Game Cube. My favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers. They have Kobe Bryant. Right now they are 2nd Pacific and 6th Western. It seems like you like snow(obviously).

During my winter break my brother and i had a piano recital(I also played my flute). We didn't go anywhere, but we still had a lot of fun because we got to have some friends over and I went to Amulya's. Me and Amulya made a calendar for 2008 and 2009 and we made a football stadium out of a shoebox. We didn't have enough materials to make the football stadium so we went to michals to buy some stuff to use. we only had a six dollar budget to use and we barely made it by 30 cents($5.30). We had a great time together.

I am guessing that Mrs. McPheeters went to Lake Tahoe this weekend(obviosly). I think that Mrs. McPheeters should buy a small house there, because from all the times she goes to Lake Tahoe over the weekend, staying in a hotel or lodge would be pretty expensive.

I can't wait until Feb. 15 because I am testing for my green stripe. I am testing for my green stripe in a martial art caled Tae-Kwon-Do. I started doing Tae-Kwon-Do at the begining of the school year. I know that sounds like alot of time of me doing Tae-Kwon-Do, but belive it or not, it takes about 4 years to get your black belt.

On Feb. 24 I am participating in a Breaking Tournament. It is where you break wooden and other boards using punches and kicks.

Boy am I glad we can start blogging. I like all the cool functions that we can use and I think I am going to blog like mad. I went snowboarding with my friends on the winter break and it was really fun. Are you jealous? I hope not, but if you are, there is a lot of snow in the mountains.

Yay! I'm glad we can start blogging! 5th graders already done it last year but we had a few different functions. I like this years blog website better than the old one. There are also a lot of good articles to comment on already! Maybe this is my last year. :(

I'm so excited about blogging this year! It wasn't similar to the blogs we had last year, but it's still sounds really fun! My summer break was really fun. I went to so many places over the summer.

Durring summer break, I got my new dag named cookie over the summer break, and Cookie had only one sister while a friend of hers had 9 brothers and sisters. Her friend is my cousin's dog, Scrappy. Scrappy's a boxer with so many different attatudes. He actually boxed Cookie! Cookie was scared to death.

As you can see, My summer break was clearly really fun.
