Jamie's Post

Outdoor School
By: Jamie Wong
During the trip to Outdoor School I had a lot of fun. My cabin leader was really nice and I had many friends to support me while we were doing our hike. On the first day, I was scared to climb the steep slopes but my cabin leader, Goby assured me that it was completely safe. When we went downhill, we slid down a VERY steep slope on our bottoms and it was a great experience. Except for the fact that I only packed one pair of long pants and that pair of long pants got dirty with dirt on the first day. On the third day, our naturalist brought many fun games to the hike. We played O'Deer and The Life Cycle. The best part of Outdoor School in my opinion was going on the six-hour hike. I kissed a bannana slug and I painted my face with rocks. Aside of the six hour hike, I also really liked the rope course. It looked very scary at first but when I saw all the people who survived when they fell on purpose, I decided that it didn't look that hard. After I finished the rope course I found out that it was really fun and I wanted to do it again. Signing up for the trip to Camp Koinonia was the best thing I've done because of all the fun things that I did and all the new friends I made.
At the very end of Outdoor School I learned my cabin leaders name. Goby = Nicole. What was the best part of Outdoor School in your opinion and why. Also if you want, what was your cabin leader's real name?

The best part about Outsoor School was the campfires. They were awesome! The songs that I learned there were very funny. I think the funniest song was the banana slug song. I also liked the part when students got a chance to make up a poem, rap, or song and say with their cabin mates. I also liked the act that the teachers did. The idea of acting as a raisin was very funny. I liked the part when Ms.Mcpheeters fell on the students amd acted like she was really scared. That was hilarious!!! My cabin leader's nature name was Lilac and her real name is Lourie.

I liked the rope course because it was fun jumping off and it was actually kind of scary when I was at the balance beam. My cabin leader's(Bear) real name is Jaymar. This years outdoor school is way better than last years!

My best thing at outdoor school was the solo hike. You could experience nature without somebody else talking to you. I know three cabin leaders' names.
Rain = Jenny
Ivy = Tailor
Gecko = Ismile (Is that how you spell it???)

My favorite was the rope course, I was nervous because I am scared of heights and the rope course was high above the ground. Once I got on everyone told me to fall, I was scared but when I tried it, it was really fun. My cabin leader’s nature name was River and her real name is Lauren.

My favorite part of Outdoor Science School was the ropes course. I learnt a lot of things from the ropess course like being brave and not getting scared. I also loved the night hike. Even though it was dark and steep, I still loved it.

The best part of outdoor school was the rope courses. I loved pushing my friends off the rope. I also loved swinging. I also liked the campfire just like devleena. It was fun learning all those funny songs and dances. I especially loved seeing all the skits and songs

I really liked Outdoor School. I missed Wednesdays campfire(I went home right after dinner,) but I still got to do a lot of fun things. I liked the night hike best because I learnt a trick to make your head look like it has dissapired in the dark and freaked my younger brother out with it! I did not like the Ropes course much because everyone kept telling me to swing off and I did not want to because I did not know how I would come back on again. I tried swinging off at the first part and it hurt because the harness was digging into my legs. I liked it when we could call Ms.McPheeters Coach Crissy again though. My cabin leader told me her name-Lilac=Lorielle. It's sort of like Loreal, the shampoo, but it's pronouced with an E,not an A. I also heard Monomonkey's real name when she was calling my parents. I think it was Gabrielle, but I forgot. Anyone's Naturalist told them their real name?
