Playing Baseball with My Dad
by Joel
As many of you know, I like baseball. I also have a big dream of playing major league baseball. In order for me to actually achieve that dream, I must practice. Since the MLB (Major League Baseball) doesn’t allow kids under 16 to join these days, I still have a long time to play and practice. To practice, I play with my dad a lot. It not only helps me in baseball, it gives me exercise and prepares me for all kind of balls that I may see . I also think it is very relaxing. We just throw the ball around a lot in our backyard or driveway. We can’t bat there because it isn’t big enough. Sometimes, my dad takes me to a park with a baseball diamond there. There is a big field there so we also throw the ball around there. I get to bat over there. Wherever I play with my dad, I always enjoy it. I always have fun experiences with my parents. Have you ever had any experiences you enjoy a lot that involves your parents? If you do, please comment on this blog and explain about it.

I have had a lot of experiences with my parents, especially my dad. When I was in 2 and 3 grade me and my dad would do a one on one activity together. Every Monday we would usually go rock climbing. I got really good. Then over the summer we got separated(or split, not in the divorced way). My dad started going away a lot do to his starting of his new company. So we never got to go rock climbing over the summer. Now whenever he is home and not working he tries to be with one of us.(my sisters) It always makes me feel special when it comes to my turn. That is what me and my dad do together .
An experiance with my parents were when I first tried out my Fly-tech-dragonfly. We tried it at a park on a sunny day. It could do tricks such as gliding and doing loops. I hap a fun time with my dad and mom. I did the contraling while my dad was throwing the lift off for it. We took turns to contral and throwing the dragonfly.I also have fun with my parents. You sure like playing with your dad. This is an expirence that I have with my parents. You had a great blog!
I had some great times with my family growing up! The one that sticks with me the most is when we all (mom, dad and little brother) would go camping in Yosemite. We would play in the river, get super muddy, and then clean off in the river again. We cooked by the campfire, slept in sleeping bags in our huge tent, and went on some awesome hikes. I think I remember these events the most because it was so relaxed and fun. We didn't have chores to do and my parents weren't stressed out because of work. Everyone was laughing and joking around and having a great time. I still go camping all of the time now trying to recreate those relaxed, fun-filled moments. Great post Joel and question for the reader! It is great that you are so passionate about baseball and have your parents support to help you reach your dreams! Way to go!
My dad takes me to basketball courts so then I can practice. Since we do not have a basketball hoop in our backyard, I don't get to play basketball that much except during school. Sometimes I play my dad one-on-one and since he didn't play basketball as a kid, I normally beat him.
I had lots of experiences with my dad and I still do. As you know I said in my post,I am a good singer and dancer. Usually thats where I spend most of my time with my dad. My dad usually corrects me on my song and dance like if I do something wrong. This is how I spend time with my dad.
