Music is enjoyed by many people, all over the world. Whether it’s rap music, Beethoven, elevator music, or a commercial for a new toy, there are some things all music has in common. It has speed, loudness, and a tune. Most music also includes notes and patterns. Some music you might hear today is by artists (the person who wrote the song) such as Bruno Mars, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Taio Cruz, Mike Posner, Flo Rida, Lincoln Park, P!nk, Lady Gaga, B.O.B., Rhianna, and Taylor Swift. Artists you might have heard when your parents were kids are U2, the Beetles, the Police, Michael Jackson, and the Who. Some music can make you feel different emotions like happiness, sadness, joy, or even anger. If you have never played an instrument, you might want to know what all those crazy lines and symbols mean in sheet music. The symbols mostly represent notes; a stick with a colored in circle in called a quarter note, if the quarter note has a flag on the end of the stick, it is an eighth note (two or more eighth notes can be connected with a line on top), a not colored in circle and a stick is a half note, and a circle stands for a whole note. The different types of notes are for how long you hold them. Notes can also be placed on different lines or spaces to show which note to play. Do you play an instrument? I play piano and I might learn drums in middle school. I think I like to listen to Michael Jackson songs. My whole related family, which is including my cousins, like his songs. One of my cousins, who is 11, likes Michael Jackson's songs the most in the family.(He is a great dancer and dances to Michael Jackson's songs too)
Nice post Kelly! The instrument that I play is the guitar. I have been playing for a couple of years. I think the guitar is the hardest instrument but it could fun too. Some artists I listen to are Bruno Mars, The Beatles, Skylar Grey, and many more even some good rappers. I get my passion of all these artists and the songs from my older brother. My favorite song right now is Coming Home and the only part that I am good at singing is the chorus that Skylar Grey sings but she is not the artist.
No, I don't play an instrument. I play TWO instruments. They are piano and trumpet. You probably see me lugging my giant trumpet to school on Tuesdays because I have band. I really like music from the artists Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Taio Cruz, Rhianna, Black Eye Peas, and my favorite, Taylor Swift! Great Post Kelly!
I play the clarinet and the piano. I don't really listen to any kind of music, and I don't have a favorite type of music.
I play the flute in the Portal Intermediate Band class. I have played for two years now and I am enjoying it. I like to listen to many different types of music. Classical to pop! When I listen to them, I get happy or sad. Usually when I get frustrated, sad, or disappointed, I like to listening to music. I soon forget what happened and continue my day as if it hasn't taken place. Current artists like Kelly mentioned are some artists I don't really like. All my favorite groups are in the Korean side... Such as SHINee and SNSD.

I play the piano. I have been playing it since I was six. I usually like to listen to random songs by Taio Cruz or songs like All Iz Well (Iz was not a misspelling).
I play a instrument. However, this instrument is played across the world. This instrument is the tabla. I have been playing for a few months but I have learned a lot. I don't really listen to music so I don't have a favorite.
I do play a few instruments, Kelly. Nice Post! You have really good knowledge about music.... or so it seems.. =) Some of the instruments I play are Piano, which I've been playing for a few years, and Clarinet, which I've been playing for the school band. I listen to songs that everyone is talking about, whether people say that it's good or bad. One of my favorite songs is "Dynamite", since it has a really good beat and rhythm to it.

Yes, I play a piano, alto saxaphone, and I used to take violen class. My favorite music I like to hear is rap, pop, rock n' roll.
I play the saxaphone in the school's after school program. I use to play the piano, but I quit when I was in 3rd grade. Anyways nice post.
Yes I do play an instrument. I play guitar but if I could play another instrument I would probably play piano. My favroite type of music is light rock.
I play the piano and the viola. The viola is a instrument used in orchestras. It is a bit larger than a violin, but you play it just like violin. I prefer viola than violin, because I think a violin's pitch is too high for me. I like classical music, but I can go a little deep with music like "California Girl".

I don't play an instrument but I do enjoy listening to music though. My favorite artist is Taylor Swift. My parents do listen to those bands you mentioned, like U2. My dad also likes Green Day.
I don't play any instrument, but I want to play the guitar because my old teacher used to play it and I like the sound that it makes. I like the songs 'You belong with me' and 'Love story' by Taylor Swift. I like those songs because they have a nice rhythm and Taylor swift is my favorite singer.
