Budget Cuts

President Obama made a new law, which is that every parent can put their kid(s) in any school they want. He did this because kids are being sent out of school and can’t come back in, thanks to budget cuts. Because of this, schools that aren’t performing well can have fewer students. They may have to close, sending the remaining students to find another school. Schools that are good (like Portal) will have many students because parents will want to put their kids in, and it will make it harder for them to manage. Due to this, Portal actually has more than five hundred people on the waiting list. Do you think money should come out of education or from somewhere else in order to fix the state budget? Why? Would it be fair ?

I think they should cut from making apartments. I saw a bunch being built these years. I think we should cut from building apartments because they build alot, but some rooms aren't even filled. Also I think we should cut from drug stores too. This will be fair because not just they are spending money, they are polluting our world. Especailly ciggarates.
I don't think people should take money from education to help fix the budget. It wouldn't be fair! The students want more education and with this situation, its basically like the government is taking it away! Why do they choose to take the money from education? If they take it from education, we might lose our music, hands on science, art, and more extra, fun activities.
I strongly think money should not come from education. Kids have to learn at young age and learn to do good things. If we take money out of education we won't be able to learn how much we need to learn. Their might not be enough money to by books for the schools. Most of the information we get comes out of books. I think it will not be fair. They should take money off of something else. There are many kids in the world imagine them not having enough education.
I think the state should spend their money on education because we are the future people. If we aren't educated we won't know how to run a country. We may not spend our money wisely and waste it like the country did earlier. The U.S. might face the second
depression. If we're not educated we will have to steal to get money and food. That would mean we would need more prisons, but we can't afford it because we did not spend our money wisely earlier. In result, we will have to let some prisoners go. They would still steal and our country would be ruined.
I think that the money should come from every section equally, so it will be fair. If you just take the money from education, then some people will either have no school to go to. If that does not happen, kids then will have to go to a school filled with students. When the governer takes the money from every section, schools may have more teachers. Schools also don't have to fire many teachers or close down the whole school. When the governor is only taking money from education, the future leaders of the California are eventually not going to be so educated. Since there are over five hundred kids on the waiting list, there is only around five hundred forty kids in our school. This way only a few new kids can come to our school because the waiting list may have more kids than the school. Like every other school, our school is also letting go of some teachers. That will make it even harder to get kids in Portal. If these state budget cuts continue, Portal and all the other good schools, like Faria, may be the last schools in California.
I don't think that the government should cut money from education. If they cut money from education, the future adult residents of California would all be not very smart.Some kids might not be taught well and end up in jail when they grow up. Teachers also will be layoff if the government cuts money from education. If a teacher gets layoff at Portal, kids would have to adjust to a new teacher. I think the government should cut money from something like health care.
I think money should come out of something else. I think this because it just doesn't make any sense that you would take money out of education. This doesn't make any sense because then when kids grow up they will be the people leading the country so they need well educated people to run our country. So I think it would be fair to take money out of somewhere else because education is a very important thing that otherwise should be improved.
No, I don't think you should take money from education because we won't get to learn and we won't have a good future ahead of us. They should take the money from some place else other than schools. It would be fair because the people who are taking it away from us didn't get money taken away from them when they were young. We won't have very good jobs when we grow up.
I don't think it would be fair because the kids do not get proper education. Some kids might even fight over the goverment of what they want. If music, hands on science, and P.E. are all cut I would not agree because Physical Education is good for your fitness. Hands on science helps us learn and make the things we are learning about in FAR science we can learn. Music is an art we must start learning then when we are big then we start choosing witch art of instrument we would like to pick. This why I would disagree with the changes that are being made.
I disagree with money coming from education. First of all, we are the ones learning from schools, and we are the future of this world! When adults leave this world, we will be the one to take their place, and they don't want us to do a poor job! If the government decides to cut it from us, and have bigger amounts of students in a class, it will be harder for a teacher to control the class. I think that money should come from other places. It will be fair because soon we will be helping them with our education. If we don't have as much knowledge as the previous generations had, then the country will become worse.
I think money should come out of somewhere else such as the drug store because if they take the money from schools, the future adults won't be that smart. I wouldn't think it is fair because if they want to solve their problem, they should use their own money.
I don't think people should take money from education. If They do then we won't learn and we won't go to a good collage. If we go to a good collage and earn lots of money we might be able to donate money and fix the problem. I also agree with Julie that we should cut money from drug stores because it's just a waste of money to buy them and it helps global warming.
Schools should defiantly come first. Now because of the budget cuts, we won't get full education! We will lose many things like music, science, and art. This is not fair at all.
All the money the government is using to pay for the war, if they used that on education, America would be the smartest country in the world. They need to pay teachers more money for all the hard work they do.Activities like science, math, music, and social studies are really important to all the schools around the nation.
I do not think you should take money out of education because what they are doing is ruining the future Americans. Also if they take away money they are destroying America's future. What I think they should cut on is logging. Logging is destroying rain forests and woods. This is what I think about budget cuts.
I think they should cut down money on things that are not as important as education, such as sports tournaments like the US Open, the Super Bowl etc. They are spending way too much money on the war in Afghanistan. Education should be number one on the list of things that they shouldn't cut down on. It is imperative because if kids don't get a good education, they might become criminals or robbers, which will cost the country even more money. We won't as good of a country as we are today. It wouldn't be fair but it will make our country better.
