Languages
By: Brandon
Have you ever wanted to learn a foreign language for fun? Well, you will do that in middle school as a subject. A language I want to learn is French because of a couple reasons. First, I would want to visit Europe and many people there speak French and Spanish. If I learn French, then I would be able to communicate with those people. However, if I can't actually speak French fluently than I might be at least able to say "Do you know English." Then, that will be easier than asking "Do you know English" in English if they don't understand English. Second, since my sister started learning French a couple years ago in middle school, I would be able to communicate with her without my parents knowing what I am saying. I would want to do this because whenever they talk about me or my sister, they always talk in Taiwanese. I can't understand Taiwanese so I will be very happy to talk in a language that my parents do not understand. My sister can tell some words in Taiwanese because so sometimes I use her as a translator. Third, I want to learn French because it looks easier than Chinese to me. I think this because in my opinion, Chinese is the hardest language ever. There are plenty of words with the same sound and each word has lots of strokes. For example, the word "me" has 7 strokes. Also, French uses English letters so sometimes it will be a lot easier to pronounce it, but sometimes it has these e's with weird little dots on them which might me confusing. These are reasons why I would really want to learn French. What language do you want to learn and why?

I want to learn French because I want to visit Europe. I want to learn it because my dad told me that when he went to Europe it was hard to get directions to go to a place or to order food. That is a language I want to learn.
I would like to learn French too. French sounds and looks much easier than my language Hindi. Hindi has 12 vowels and 38 regular letters so in total there are 50 Hindi letters. Also for almost every sound there are two different letters and I get tested on the letters! So French sounds very interesting to me.
I want to learn Chinese very well. Even though I already learned many words. I think Chinese is interesting because some word you can tell what it is just by looking at it. I want to learn Spanish because I want to go to Paris, and It is interesting. Adios!! Translation:bye!!
I want to learn the language Taiwanese because I could hear what my dad is telling to my grandmother (dad's side). They usually talk about my brother and I. Sometimes they plan a surprise, like taking me to Vancouver or take me skiing (I really never went skiing before). None of my brothers know how to speak Taiwanese. Maybe I could teach them, so they could hear what my dad and grandmother are saying. In middle school, I would definitely learn Taiwanese.
Well, I speak Hindi a little. Except I can't read or write it...
Great post!
I want to learn how to speak Spanish because my sister knows how. Somtimes she speaks it and I don't understand a single word she is saying. She doesn't tell me what it means and I would like to know.
I want to learn Korean because I'm a big Korean music fan. Sometimes the video I watch doesn't have English subs. Also, I want to visit Korea for a concert, or just for fun! When I go to a restaurant, I would want to order the food, but if I don't know Korean, then I wouldn't be able to order the delicious food, beside kimchi.
I want to learn spanish because it looks way easier than chinese like the word "you" is 8 strokes. I also sometimes do not understand what my parents are saying in chinese so I also want to speak something they don't know. I also want to learn to speak French, like Brandon said. I want to speak it because it sounds intresting to me and fun to learn. These are the languages that I want to learn.
Namaste! I would like to learn Hindi because it's the national language of India, and the main language spoken in India. So far, I know Marathi(another Indian language), English, and some Mandarin Chinese.I also think that I should learn Spanish because many people around the world speak it. Wonderful post Brandon.

I want to learn how to speak Hindi really well because I usually visit India. Most people speak Hindi in India. This way, I can easily communicate when I go back to India for a visit.
I already know how to speak Hindi, but I want to learn how to speak Spanish. I want to take it in middle school. If I ever need help, I can go to my sister because she is learning how to speak Spanish currently. I know some of the days of the week in Spanish and some numbers. I only know how to speak really easy words in Spanish.
I want to learn French for two reasons. My first reason is that I can talk to people in Europe. If I learn how to speak French and I visited Europe, I wouldn't need to worry if a person I want to talk could speak English. The second reason I want to learn French is that I can scold my sisters in French and they won't know what I'm saying.
Well, I speak Hindi and go to Hindi Shala on every other Sunday. We get homework and all that other stuff you get in school. I already knew how to speak Hindi before I started taking classes, but I didn't know how to read and write. Learning Hindi does help with communicating with siblings in India, like Anshul said.
I want to learn French because last year Mrs.Yu told us you need to ask people do you know English in French otherwise if you say it in English they get offended. I want to learn it so I can visit Europe. My friend went to Europe said it was awesome. So that's why I want to learn French.
Great post Brandon. I want to learn German and Spanish. I know they won't teach German in middle school so I am going for Spanish. Even so I still know some words in German because my parents speak it all the time when they don't want me or my sister to know about it. After going to Austria, on my October Break, my German vocabulary got bigger. My mom says that Spanish is easy to learn because it's a lot like
English. Spanish is also spoken in many countries like English.
I want to learn Chinese because almost every two years I go and visit China. I want to be able to communicate to my grandmother, grandfather, relatives, and so on. So I want to perfect my chinese!
I want to learn Japanese because my brothers learned Japanese. I also want to go to Japan because all the fancy pencils are there.I learned how to do say good night, one, two, three, four, five, and hello.
I already know Hindi too, so I would like to learn Spanish and French. I would like to learn Spanish because it is used in many countries.I would like to learn French because it looks easy, and just like Andy, I can tease my sister and one of her annoying friends who cries for everything.
I already speak Spanish, my mom's native language. The language I want to learn is Farsi, which is my dad's native language. I've already learned a few words and phrases, and I'm ready to learn more new words. It is very fun to learn a new language.
I would like to learn Chinese, because a lot of my friends are Chinese so it would be easier to talk in their language. So far I know how to say hello in Chinese. You say "Ne how". My mother tongue is Kannada, the Indian language of Karnatica. Buenos Noches! (good night in Spanish).
I want to learn Chinese untill I can speak it very fluently. Even though I don't like Chinese, I know it is good for me because if I go to China for business stuff, I can communicate. China's economy is pretty good and our's is pretty bad so if China takes over, I can read and write Chinese! I also want to learn Taiwanese because my parents also speak it. It is probably going to be really easy if I learn Chinese because I can already sort of understand Taiwanese because it is so similar to Chinese!
I would rather learn Spanish than French since so many people here in California are Spanish...however, I am already learning Spanish in school!(Middle School) I would like to learn a South Indian language because all the letters in the script look almost the same when I look at them and I want to know how to tell them apart.
I really want to learn how to speak Spanish so that when we go to Mexico again, I can communicate with other peoople. Last time I went to Mexico, I could barley understand anything that anyone said.
