Andy's Post

Collections
By: Andy

I collect many things including state quarters and other special coins. My collection of coins include 45 different state quarters, a Washington D.C. quarter, a United States of America quarter (drummer boy one) ,and  3 dollar coins. I still need to find the state quarters of Arizona, Texas, Colorado , South Dakota ,and Minnesota. I also want to find other US territory coins like the Guam quarter. The US territory coins were all released in 2009 so they are rather hard to find in circulation. I heard that there is  now a first wife dollar coin program! I found out that a good way to collect state quarters is to go to a dollar to quarters machine and put in 5 dollars and see how many special quarters the machine dispenses. I get my state quarters and nickles by, asking my parents if I can look at their change, using dollar to quarters machines, buying  some from my sisters, and asking cashier to turn a dollar into change. I got my dollar coins from a Washington D.C. subway ticket buying machine who gave out dollar coins as change. What things do you collect?

I collect stamps and state quarters. I have rare stamps and stamps from my parent's daily mail. I get state quarters by getting quarters and putting them into vending machines. Then, I press the "change" button and out comes a different quarter (usually a state quarter). I also lose lots of teeth each year. This month I lost 3 molar teeth and the tooth fairy gave me $1.50. That means each tooth is $0.50.

I collect stamps, U.S. quarters, and president dollar coins. I get stamps from my mom's, my dad's, or my sister's mail. I almost never get any mail from anybody. Then, I just cut out the stamp and place it in hot water. Eventually, the stamp falls off and I put it in my collection. I get my U.S. quarters from my mom and my sister. My mom lets me look at her change and lets me have state quarters if I need them. If she doesn't have any, then I trade quarters with my sister. She only agrees to this because we may have repititive quarters and we don't need them. Last, I get my president dollar coins from the bank. I just go there with my mom and give them one dollar. Then, if you ask, they will give you a dollar coin of any president. These objects are what I like to collect.

Well I guess you could say that I collet posters. I have so many I can't display them all at once. I like posters of nature and maps. Some nights I look at the maps and wonder. What's out there?

I collect stamps and state quarters. I have a lot of rare stamps that are from my dad. He has a big board with about 50 stamps. I usually collect colorful stamps and funny looking ones. I also collect shells. I have all sorts of shells. I even have a shell that looks like there is a big ditch in it.

I collected something like 50 shells at the beach in India this summer. I found a giant oyster shell in it, and the collection also includes a tiny spiral shaped one, which I guess to be a Hermit Crab's shell. In my old house, I collected a lot of leaves and kept them in the doorway. We threw them away because bugs grew in the collection. I know there are many people who collect post office stamps, too.
